How to prepare for your Henna Appointments?
Henna is a semi permanent dye. It lasts about 2-3 weeks on your skin. Prepping your skin is very important.
Please before application always wash your hands with soap. Any lotion or oil based products may act as a barrier to dye your skin.
If you have any nail appointments or tanning appointments please do them 48 hours prior to your Henna appointment.
How to care your Henna after appointment?
• Leave your Henna designs as long as you can (8-12 hours is ideal)
• After your paste dry use lemon juice and sugar sealant to prevent it from flaking it early
• Please do not wash your hands, instead scrape it of with dry or oil soaked paper towel
• You can also put oil (olive oil, coconut oil, vegetable oil or baby oil is ideal) on dry henna to take off your henna easily
• You can wash or shower 8-12 hours after paste removal
• Your henna stain will start as a bright pumpkin stain but gradually the stain gets dark brown in 36-48 hours of application.
